About the role
We are a fast growing retail business in Australia with multiple sites, including retail stores and warehouse operations. Due to ongoing expansion, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Officer to join our team and support day-to-day HR functions across our sites. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands on HR professional who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and can confidently communicate in both English and Mandarin.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Recruitment & Onboarding
End-to-end recruitment including job ads, screening, interviews and reference checks
Coordinating onboarding documentation (TFN forms, super choice forms, contracts, policies)
Conducting inductions, probation reviews and employee file set-up
Employee Relations & Performance
Providing guidance on performance management, misconduct and disciplinary procedures
Assisting with investigations, written warnings and termination processes where required
Supporting managers with workplace conflict resolution and communication
HR Compliance & Administration
Maintaining accurate employee records (digital and physical filing)
Ensuring HR compliance with Fair Work Act, NES and relevant Modern Awards
Assisting with policy updates and implementation across locations
Handling confidential HR matters professionally and discreetly
Multi-site Support
Regular travel between multiple business sites to support operations and managers
Ensuring HR processes are consistent across different locations and teams
Responding to urgent HR issues from stores when required
About You
To be successful in this role, you must have:
Australian work rights are required for this position.
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
Minimum 3 years of full-time HR experience in Australia
Strong experience in HR compliance and recruitment is essential for supporting day-to-day HR functions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with strong Excel skills
Business level Mandarin proficiency is essential for effective communication in this role.
