We are seeking a commercially astute, detail‑driven, and motivated Corporate Financial Controller to join our Sydney Head Office. This role is central to safeguarding the organisation’s financial integrity, strengthening governance, and driving disciplined financial performance at a group level.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Corporate Financial Controller oversees the financial operations of La Vie Group’s corporate entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong financial control.
You will lead group‑wide financial governance, statutory compliance, and reporting excellence, while partnering closely with senior leadership to support strategic decision‑making and long‑term growth. As La Vie continues to expand, you will also play a key role in shaping and managing the newly established Procurement function.
At La Vie Hotels & Resorts, you will have access to the latest finance and procurement systems & tools, whilst being a key contributor to any future innovations in technologies and processes.
The role supports working from home 1 day a week.
What You'll Be Doing
Financial Leadership & Governance
Lead and develop two direct reports overseeing Australia and SSEA corporate finance.
Own the financial accounts and reporting for corporate entities, ensuring strong governance, compliance, and risk management.
Manage group consolidation (non‑complex).
Oversee group cashflow, treasury management, and banking relationships.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Deliver high‑quality monthly reporting using finance reporting tools.
Partner with hotel teams and corporate department heads to provide deep financial analysis, insights, and commentary on performance, variances, trends, and risks.
Manage group budgeting and half‑year forecasting aligned to strategic priorities.
Build dashboards, KPIs, and financial scorecards to support data‑driven decision making.
Strategic Finance & Business Partnering
Work closely with the CFO and senior executives on strategic planning, investment decisions, and business cases.
Provide financial leadership across cross‑functional initiatives, transformation projects, and operational improvement programs. Contribute to La Vie’s continuous improvement agenda and rollout of new initiatives.
Procurement
Oversee the new Procurement function, supported by a related business responsible for tendering and pricing reviews.
Monitor group‑wide pricing of goods and services and ensure value creation for Owners through cost optimisation, quality compliance, and strong supplier relationships.
Compliance, Audit & Risk Management
Lead external audits, internal audits, and statutory reporting obligations including annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, corporate governance standards, and industry-specific requirements.
Systems, Processes & Continuous Improvement
Drive finance systems optimisation, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
Champion process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CA required.
8+ years’ senior finance experience, within multi‑property or multi‑entity environments (hospitality, real estate, retail, or similar).
Strong background in maintaining robust discipline in financial accounts, financial reporting and internal controls.
Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP, tax compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and stakeholders.
Exposure to procurement management is desirable but not compulsory.
