About the role
We are preparing to open our new large-scale family entertainment venue in Braeside, Melbourne VIC, and we are looking for an experienced and hands-on Supervisor to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand-new venue from the pre-opening stage and grow with the business as we continue to expand.
About the RoleAs a Supervisor, you will support the day-to-day running of the venue and help lead the team during rostered shifts.
This is a hands-on role where you will be working closely with frontline team members, supporting customer service, helping to solve operational issues, and making sure the venue runs smoothly, safely and efficiently.
This is a full-time position based in Braeside, Melbourne VIC. The successful candidate may be required to start prior to opening to assist with venue preparation, staff training and operational set-up.
As the venue operates across weekends, evenings, school holidays and peak trading periods, flexibility will be important in this role.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily venue operations during rostered shifts
Support and guide frontline team members across different operational areas
Deliver a high standard of customer service and guest experience
Allocate tasks and help ensure the team is working effectively
Maintain presentation, cleanliness and safety standards throughout the venue
Assist with staff training, onboarding and day-to-day team support
Respond to customer enquiries, issues and complaints in a professional manner
Support party operations, events and peak service periods as required
Assist management in monitoring workflow, service standards and operational consistency
Help create a positive, energetic and team-focused working environment
Essential:
Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role in hospitality, retail, leisure, entertainment, tourism or customer service
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Confident leading a team in a fast-paced environment
A positive, hands-on and reliable approach to work
Strong customer service mindset
Good organisational and problem-solving skills
Flexibility to work across weekends, evenings, school holidays and busy periods
Current right to work in Australia
Highly Regarded:
Experience working in family entertainment, hospitality or high-volume customer environments
Experience supporting and training team members
First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Mandarin speaking and listening ability
