The opportunity 

To support our expansion plans, we are currently hiring Software Architect (IFS Cloud) to strengthen our team and embark on an exciting new journey with us.  The role owns solution architecture, technical governance, and design assurance across extensions, integrations, data migration, and platform configuration, ensuring solutions are scalable, upgrade-safe, and aligned to IFS Cloud best practice.

What you’ll be doing:

• Define and own end-to-end solution architecture for IFS Cloud engagements, including extensions, integrations, data migration, and reporting layers.

• Lead technical design workshops with clients to translate business requirements into scalable, upgrade-safe IFS Cloud solutions.

• Set and enforce architectural standards, design patterns, and coding conventions across project teams.

• Review and approve technical designs, integration specifications, and custom development produced by Systems Engineers and Software Engineers.

• Provide technical leadership across IFS Cloud Solution Areas, including platform extensibility (IFS Developer Studio, Aurena, Lobby and Page Designer), integration (REST/OData, IFS Connect, Event Mesh), and data migration tooling.

• Identify technical risks early, define mitigation strategies, and escalate design issues that may affect delivery timelines, cost, or upgrade compatibility.

• Partner with Project Managers to translate architecture decisions into estimable, deliverable work packages and support SOW and change request scoping.

• Maintain awareness of IFS Cloud release roadmaps (e.g. 25R2, 26R1) and assess impact of new platform capabilities on existing and future client solutions.

• Mentor Systems Engineers and Software Engineers on architecture principles, technical best practice, and IFS Cloud platform capability.

• Support pre-sales and business development by contributing technical solutioning, effort estimation, and architecture input into proposals and discovery workshops.

• Maintain technical documentation standards, including solution architecture documents, integration design documents, and technical decision logs.

What we expect from you:

• Demonstrated experience as a senior technical lead on IFS Cloud or IFS Applications implementations, ideally across multiple full lifecycle projects.

• Deep technical knowledge of IFS Cloud architecture, including extensibility framework, IFS Connect, Event Mesh, REST/OData APIs, and Lobby/Page Designer.

• Strong understanding of data migration approaches and tooling within IFS Cloud, including legacy data extraction, transformation, and load strategies.

• Experience designing integrations between IFS Cloud and third-party systems (e.g. EAM, HCM, finance, logistics, or field service platforms).

• Working knowledge of IFS Cloud Solution Areas relevant to client engagements (e.g. Finance, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Projects, Field Service).

• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and senior client stakeholders.

• Experience operating within a consulting or professional services delivery model, including SOW-based scoping and effort estimation.

• Relevant IFS Cloud certifications highly desirable.

• Exposure to DevOps practice, CI/CD pipelines, and version control disciplines within an IFS Cloud or ERP delivery context desirable.

• Current residence in Sydney or willingness to relocate within Australia.
