Housekeeping Assistants- Monash Gardens

We’re looking for compassionate and reliable Part-time and Casual Housekeeping Assistants to join our team at Monash Gardens.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by cleaning resident rooms and communal areas as directed by the Facility Manager, working a 9:00am to 5:00pm roster across a fortnightly schedule.

Your Responsibilities: 

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Complete daily cleaning tasks using the electronic cleaning system (tablet).
• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, kitchens, and laundry areas.
• Perform floor care, including mopping, vacuuming, carpet maintenance, and bathroom cleaning.
• Follow infection control procedures, including the correct use of colour-coded cleaning equipment.
• Safely handle, use, and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with OH&S requirements.
• Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure cleaning trolleys are stored safely.
• Support accreditation and compliance requirements, including unannounced audits.
• Monitor and maintain cleaning stock levels and report shortages as required.

About You:

• Experience in housekeeping or commercial cleaning (Aged Care experience highly regarded)
• Computer literacy to report incidents and work completed via IPad.
• A caring, respectful, and positive attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• A current NDIS Worker Screening Check or Police Check ( Mandatory).
• COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations (Highly encouraged).
