Graduate Accountant

Wagga Trucks is a family-owned business which has grown to become one of Regional Australia's leading truck dealerships, with some of the best facilities, equipment, and people in the country.

We currently have an opportunity for a Graduate Accountant to join our Wagga branch and become part of our supportive finance team.

We’re looking for a motivated graduate accountant who is eager to build practical finance experience in a supportive, hands-on environment. This role is well suited to someone with strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in developing their accounting skills across a broad range of day-to-day finance functions.

Main duties:

Accounts support

• Process supplier invoices, maintain records and assist with supplier payments

• Support accounts receivable processes, including debtor statements, overdue account follow-up and credit applications

• Complete bank, EFTPOS, petty cash and credit card reconciliations

• Assist with fuel accounts, reimbursements and routine finance administration tasks

Month-end and reporting

• Maintain asset register records and supporting documentation

• Assist with month-end reconciliations, reporting and preparation of supporting documents

• Help identify and resolve discrepancies with guidance from the Financial Controller

General administration and learning

• Work closely with the finance team to learn internal systems, processes and dealership operations

• Provide practical administration support across finance and sales-related accounts tasks

• Develop confidence and capability through exposure to a broad range of accounting functions

About you:

• Recently completed, or currently completing, an accounting, business or finance qualification

Skills:

• A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn

• High attention to detail and a careful, accurate approach to work

• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

• Clear communication skills and confidence working with others

• Basic Microsoft Office skills and an interest in learning accounting systems
