Supply Chain Specialist - Transport Operations 12-Month Maternity Leave Contract

PATH4 is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Specialist - Transport Operations to join a busy supply chain team on a 12-month maternity leave contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong transport operations experience who enjoys working with suppliers, solving problems and ensuring the smooth movement of products across a national network.

About the Role
Working as part of the Supply Chain team, you will play a key role in coordinating domestic transport operations and ensuring transport providers deliver against agreed service levels, costs and expectations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating day-to-day transport requirements with contracted transport providers
• Managing standard and non-standard transport requests
• Coordinating pre-alerts and specialised transport requirements
• Providing transport cost estimates and validating supplier invoices
• Managing transport-related delivery failures, exceptions and claims
• Coordinating product movements between offices, warehouses, 3PL sites and customers
• Monitoring transport supplier performance against agreed SLAs
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, service efficiency and transport costs
• Managing transport-related insurance and warranty claims
• Investigating system and process issues impacting transport performance
• Supporting various business units with logistics-related requests and cost analysis
• Working closely with internal stakeholders, customers, 3PL providers and transport suppliers

About You
We are looking for an experienced transport or supply chain professional who is confident managing external suppliers and coordinating complex transport requirements.

You will ideally have:

• 5+ years experience within transport, logistics, distribution or supply chain operations
• Experience coordinating transport services through a supplier network
• Strong knowledge of domestic transport operations
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Experience working with SAP ERP
• Experience with a sophisticated Transport Management System (TMS)
• Exposure to Power BI would be advantageous
• The ability to work autonomously while also being a strong team player

A qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field will be highly regarded but is not essential.
