IT Support

About the role

The purpose of the IT Support role is to ensure that the IT systems and processes in place are working accurately and efficiently. The role will also require the person to be actively seeking ways to maximize efficiency and overcome any problems that are faced, as well as maintaining all data integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain Server Room – hardware, software, backups, UPS.

• Maintain/support end user hardware, software, network environment.

• Maintain the corporate Websites and domains.

• Maintain/support freight scanners and scanners internally and externally.

• Provide training to staff/customers as required

• Monitor/Manage client FTP files and troubleshoot any problems.

• Provide support for VTFE despatch system, including but not limited to training, customization, EDI/API import/export.

• Ensure data backups are performed daily and are stored in the safe.

• Gain extensive knowledge of the Transport Software in order to support end users as a Help Desk to internal staff.

• Development of the Transport Software to add value to the company (eg. reports, streamlining processes to minimize time).

About you

• Knowledge or Experience with: Windows Server, Windows 11, Microsoft Active Directory, Networking, PC/Laptop Hardware, Scanning Hardware (barcode scanners, PDT's etc), FTP, Microsoft Office Products – Excel, Word, PowerPoint

• Knowledge of Transport Management Software preferable.

• Good Communication and Presentation Skills.

• Strong Time Management Skills.

• Good verbal and written communication.

• Project Management Skills.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.

• 2 years' experience in an IT Environment preferred

• Minimum qualification Certificate III IT.

• Valid Driver's License.

During the initial induction and training period, working hours may vary to support onboarding and operational requirements.

Upon successful completion of the induction period, the standard working hours for this position will be 10:00am to 6:30pm.
