Dump Truck Operators - Telfer

We are currently seeking experienced CAT 793 Dump Truck Operators for an open-cut mining operation at Telfer, Western Australia. These roles offer a 2/1 FIFO roster from Perth, rates of up to $63.30 per hour and the opportunity to transition to permanent employment after three months.

About the Role

Working as part of the production team, you will safely operate CAT 793 haul trucks while meeting daily production requirements. Previous CAT 785 water cart experience is also required, as you may occasionally assist with water cart operations when needed.

The roster includes 12-hour shifts, with most roles working an additional 30 minutes of regular overtime each day. All hours worked are paid at the applicable hourly rate.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate CAT 793 dump trucks in an open-cut production environment
• Complete pre-start inspections and report faults or hazards
• Follow site procedures, traffic-management plans and radio protocols
• Work closely with dispatch, supervisors and other operators
• Assist with CAT 785 water cart operations when required
• Maintain a strong focus on safety and production targets

Requirements
To be considered, you will need:

• Proven production mining experience operating CAT 793 dump trucks
• Previous experience operating CAT 785 water carts
• Relevant machinery competencies or RIIs
• Proof of Australian working rights, such as an Australian passport, birth certificate or valid visa
• Current unrestricted C Class driver's licence, at minimum
• National Police Clearance issued within the past 12 months, or ability to obtain one
• Drug and alcohol screening completed within the past three months, or ability to complete one
• Pre-employment medical completed within the past 12 months, or ability to complete one
• Ability to meet all site access and onboarding requirements
• Availability to work a 2/1 FIFO roster from Perth
