About the Role
Holicare is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality & Risk Officer to support our organisation in maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, safety and continuous improvement across our various services.
Working closely with management and operational teams, you will be responsible for monitoring and strengthening our quality management systems, identifying and managing risks, supporting incident and compliance management, coordinating audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Your duties may include, but are not limited to:
Monitor the effectiveness of the quality management system through regular reviews, initiating updates and improvements as required.
Ensure policies and procedures reflect current legislation, regulatory requirements and sector standards, and are effectively implemented across operations.
Coordinate the organisation’s readiness for external audits and accreditation processes, including preparing required documentation, evidence and team briefings.
Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc audits, maintain and update the organisational risk register, and work with teams to address non-conformances through corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, as well as relevant trends, and collaborate with teams to identify improvement opportunities and strengthen a culture of quality, compliance and accountability.
Maintain accurate and well-organised records relating to audits, risks, training, incidents and compliance activities.
Prepare regular reports on quality performance, audit outcomes, risks and continuous improvement initiatives for management reviews.
Provide support and guidance to staff and managers on quality, risk, compliance and continuous improvement matters
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for candidates who demonstrate:
Strong knowledge and practical experience in incident management, risk assessment, auditing and continuous improvement.
Proven ability to develop and deliver staff induction, mandatory and compliance training.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience using compliance and document management systems.
Current Police Check, preferably issued within the last 12 months.
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across different teams.
A strong commitment to person-centred care, quality, safety and continuous improvement.
Desirable:
Registered Nurse (RN) registration.
Experience working within Supported Independent Living (SIL), group home or community-based care environments.
Experience with aged care, NDIS, DVA or Support at Home compliance requirements.
