Intermediate Tax Accountant

BFG Financial Services is a leading accounting practice based in Macquarie Park. We specialise in providing independent personal financial advice on a 'fee for service' basis.

We are seeking an Intermediate Tax Accountant with Australian public practice experience to join our team in a casual role (3 days per week). This is an onsite position suited to an accountant who is confident preparing tax returns and financial statements across multiple entity types and is looking to continue progressing toward senior accountant capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of income tax returns and financial statements for:  

• Individuals 

• Companies 

• Trusts 

• Partnerships 

• Preparation and lodgement of BAS, IAS, FBT, PAYG and CGT

• Managing your own workflow to meet lodgement deadlines

• Liaison with the Australian Taxation Office

• Delivering accurate, high quality compliance outcomes

About You

To be successful in this Intermediate Accountant role, you will have:

• A degree or diploma in accounting

• 2+ years’ recent experience in an Australian public accounting practice

• Strong experience preparing tax returns and financial statements independently

• Sound technical knowledge across multiple entity types 

• Experience with compliance obligations including BAS, IAS, CGT and FBT 

• High attention to detail and strong professional communication skills 

• Full Australian working rights

This role is not suited to graduates requiring close day to day supervision.

This is a fully onsite role based at our Macquarie Park office. Remote or hybrid arrangements are not available.
