Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $87K pa to $95K pa (Clerk Grade 3/4) + employer's contribution to super.

As we continue to grow our workforce across the North Coast Branch, we’re establishing a talent pool for ongoing and temporary opportunities over the next 18 months. About the Branch
North Coast Branch manages more than 634,000 hectares of diverse coastal & hinterland areas (comprising 220 protected areas) and is well known for its idyllic beaches and highly popular campgrounds. Each year, over 7 million people enjoy visiting our parks. The Branch comprises 10 teams responsible for the management of these parks stretching from Tweed Byron in the North, Richmond River, Clarence, Coffs Coast and Hastings Macleay to the South.  These are supported by multiple Program Teams to assist with the delivery of Conservation, Fire, Visitor Experience, Assets, Projects, Aboriginal Cultural Heritage and Joint Management.

About the Role
National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is establishing a talent pool for expected Administrative Support Officer opportunities across the North Coast Branch region. If you're a customer-focused administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting frontline teams, we'd love to hear from you.

In these roles you'll provide essential business and administrative support, helping teams deliver important conservation, visitor experience, land management and operational programs across NSW's national parks and reserves.

You'll:

Provide high-quality administrative and business support to help teams achieve their objectives.  
Coordinate meetings, events, travel, accommodation and documentation. 
Prepare correspondence, reports, minutes and other business documents.  
Support financial and purchasing processes + human resource administration while adhering to government recruitment principles and processes.
Maintain records, databases and office systems.  
Deliver excellent customer service to staff, visitors and stakeholders.  
Assist during operational incidents, including emergency response activities when required.

About You
We're looking for people who have: 

Proven administration and business support experience – providing reliable support across office, records, correspondence, shared mailbox management and team coordination tasks. 
Strong organisation and time management skills – managing multiple priorities, deadlines, meetings, travel and documentation. 
Excellent communication skills – preparing clear correspondence, coordinating with others and engaging confidently with staff, visitors and stakeholders. 
A customer service approach – delivering helpful, professional and responsive support to internal and external customers.  
Strong attention to detail – maintaining accurate records, reports, databases and business systems. 
Financial management skills – understand financial and budgeting principles, system reporting and analysis.
Technology and systems skills – confidently using Microsoft 365, records management and financial administration systems. 
People management skills – engaging, motivating and developing team members to build capability and support their potential.
A positive attitude, willingness to learn and flexibility - to support a diverse range of business and operational activities while maintaining integrity and confidentiality.
