Role Description This part time Undergraduate Electrical Engineer role is based in North Mackay, QLD. The position involves supporting senior engineers in the design and analysis of electrical systems, including drafting schematics, preparing documentation, and participating in technical reviews. Daily responsibilities include assisting with calculations, performing basic testing and data collection, and helping to troubleshoot electrical issues on active projects. The role also includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, following safety and compliance standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.QualificationsFoundational knowledge and coursework in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with the ability to apply core principles to real-world problems.Skills in Electrical Design, including interpreting drawings, creating basic schematics, and supporting design revisions.Understanding of Power Systems and Power Distribution, including exposure to load analysis and system configuration.Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.Ability to use standard engineering software tools (e.g., CAD, simulation packages) and proficiency in basic data analysis.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capacity to follow technical instructions and safety procedures.Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work on-site and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.Interest in gaining hands-on experience in industrial or commercial electrical projects; prior internship or project experience is beneficial.
