About the role
As a Container Controller, you will be responsible for coordinating truck movements, managing container transactions, maintaining accurate system records, and ensuring the efficient flow of containers through the depot. You will be the key point of contact for drivers, customers, and operational staff while ensuring all depot activities are processed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
Process incoming and outgoing trucks and containers in a timely manner.
Accurately record container and vehicle movements within Containerchain.
Enter and maintain release information and customer data.
Coordinate with yard operations to achieve efficient truck turnaround times.
Communicate effectively with drivers and operational staff via two-way radio.
Respond promptly to customer enquiries via phone and email.
Monitor and report rejected containers to Operations.
Process container movements, repairs, surveys, wash sheets, MNRs, and associated documentation.
Generate reports and invoices as required.
Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity across all systems.
About you
Previous experience in a Container Park, Transport, Logistics, or Freight environment.
Experience using Containerchain and 1-Stop systems (highly regarded).
Strong customer service and communication skills.
High attention to detail and data accuracy.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Intermediate computer skills and confidence using operational systems.
Ability to build positive relationships with customers, drivers, and internal stakeholders.
Forklift Licence, surveying experience, or container industry experience will be highly regarded.
