Clovelly Out of School Care is a committee-run, large OOSH service located in beautiful Clovelly Beach. We pride ourselves on our strong relationships with children, families, and staff, and we value collaboration, reflection, and doing what’s best for children's safety.
We’re currently looking for a passionate, proactive and experienced Inclusion Support Educator to join our team and help strengthen inclusive practice and WHS compliance across the service.
🎒 About the Role
This is an on the floor role with ample off the floor time that combines preparing inclusion documents, direct child support, professional collaboration (and development opportunities) and team mentoring.
You’ll play a key role in supporting children with additional needs while also helping educators grow their confidence and skills around inclusive practice.
Every session is different - you might be supporting a child through regulation strategies, writing or reviewing an inclusion support plan, coaching an Educator through a challenging moment, or jumping into a game with the group.
🌟 Key Responsibilities
Supporting children with additional needs to fully participate in our program and environment/routine
Developing, implementing and reviewing Inclusion Support Plans
Working collaboratively with Educators, families, the schools and inclusion agencies (and other stakeholders)
Mentoring and supporting the team to build inclusive, strengths-based practices
Attending professional development (PD) sessions and sharing learnings with the team
Being an active, positive presence in the program each afternoon
💛 We’re Looking For Someone Who:
Has experience in inclusion, disability support, education, childcare or OOSH
Is confident writing and implementing support plans
Enjoys mentoring others and working as part of a team
Is calm, patient, reflective and child-centered
Holds a WWCC
Has an understanding of legal requirements in relation to children with medical needs
Childcare qualifications (desired)
