Casual Relief Teacher

Indie School Wendouree is seeking qualified teachers to join our Casual Relief Teacher (CRT) pool. We want teachers with a passion for education and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of young learners.

Whether you are a new graduate or experienced, trained in primary or secondary education, if your practice is founded on unconditional positive regard and the belief that young people can re-engage with learning and experience success through a strengths-based approach to education then this role may be for you!

The daily CRT rate is $639 per day. CRT’s will receive a full day rate even if they work less than a full day.

Successful Applicants will be required to:

• Deliver the teaching program in line with appropriate curriculum.
• Have excellent teacher knowledge, practice and professional engagement.
• Ensure an effective use of time and resources in the delivery of classes aligned to student’s individual learning and pathways plans.
• Promote the school’s alternative educational and strengths-based model to ensure student goals and personal outcomes are progressed with the focus on “Changing the Lives of Young People”.

Essential requirements:

For this role, applicants must be willing and able to obtain:

• National Police Check (issued within 3 months prior to appointment) and renewed annually.
• Hold a current VIT registration (VIC).
