Civil Construction Tradeworker

About the role

Telcotech SA Pty Ltd is looking for dedicated and skilled civil construction workers to play an important role in our various telecommunication infrastructure and civil construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Daily maintenance and cleaning of plant machinery and equipment

• Pit and pipe installation for cable hauling through conduit and underground pathways

• Trenching, backfilling, and reinstatement

• Operating basic plant and equipment (e.g., hydro vac, excavator – if ticketed)

• Managing traffic, setting up and removing temporary traffic control signages and measures for safety at construction sites

• Collaborating with site personnel and subcontractors, reporting all relevant site activities and managing the quality of work performed

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently (excavators, trenchers, etc)

• Follow Work Health and Safety guidelines and maintain a safe worksite

• Follow standard safety procedures, site requirements, and environmental protocols

About you

• At least a relevant AQF Certificate III qualification or equivalent; or 3 years of relevant work experience to substitute the qualification

• Driver's licence preferred

• Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor, hands-on work

• Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious

• Willing to travel to outer regional areas

• White Card (Construction Induction) preferred

• Traffic Controller/Traffic management implementer preferred

• First aid and CPR preferred

• Confined space training preferred
