About the Role
Reporting to the Plant Manager with a dotted-line relationship to the Commercial Manager, this role is a newly created leadership role responsible for strengthening commercial oversight, financial planning and contract performance across a major operational asset.
Leading a small team, you will act as the commercial link between site operations and corporate finance, helping improve forecasting, outage planning, cost control and business decision-making. 
Key Responsibilities 

• Lead commercial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and financial performance reporting across the operational site.
• Partner with engineering, maintenance and operations teams to support major outage planning, cost forecasting and performance analysis.
• Monitor critical operational contracts, providing insights into performance, risks, cost variances and commercial opportunities.
• Deliver meaningful reporting and analysis to senior leadership, supporting strategic planning and executive decision-making.
• Lead and develop a business support team while driving continuous improvement across commercial, procurement, compliance and administrative functions.

About You
You are a commercially minded finance leader who enjoys working closely with operational stakeholders and influencing business outcomes. You thrive in environments where you can bring structure, challenge assumptions and improve the way things are done.
To be successful, you will bring:

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Significant experience in financial leadership, commercial analysis, FP&A or project accounting within an asset-intensive environment.
• Experience partnering with operational, engineering or maintenance teams.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and provide constructive challenge.
• Experience within power generation, mining, heavy industry, manufacturing, engineering or infrastructure will be highly regarded
