Honey Bird is a large uniquely designed service managed by KU on behalf of the Commonwealth Bank. The service is stunning modern and purpose built to provide the best possible environment. Only a short walk from Redfern train station, the service is currently exploring the concept of studios for the 2-5 year old rooms in the service.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new ways of envisaging environments in early childhood settings. Our service is fully air-conditioned indoors and has two spacious outdoor playgrounds for children to explore.
Established in 1895, KU is one of Australia’s most experienced and respected providers of long day care, preschool, family programs and early intervention services and remains proudly Not For Profit.
The Role
We are looking for someone with previous directing experience who is ECT qualified to lead the team on a permanent basis, working 8 hours a day, Monday-Friday.
This is a non-teaching director role with a generous director’s allowance with dedicated time to work with educators and children to guide and support pedagogy and practice with a high functioning team.
You will bring your sound pedagogical knowledge, experience of developing and maintaining relationships with children, families, staff and Commonwealth Bank, rostering, mentoring, daily routines, policy implementation whilst building a harmonious working environment.
You will have support of a dedicated and experienced service administrator as well as the Education and Quality Manager, Education Support Manager, Child Safe and Wellbeing team, Learning and Development facilitator and wider support services available across the organisation.
