Employment Relations Consultant

Are you an experienced Employment Relations professional who enjoys partnering with senior leaders to navigate complex workplace matters?

We are seeking up to two Employment Relations Consultants to join a large, values-driven organisation during a particularly busy period. These roles will provide hands-on support across employee relations case management while creating capacity for several strategic people projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy providing practical, commercially sound advice on a broad range of employment matters.

The Opportunity

Reporting into a collaborative People & Culture team, you'll partner with managers and senior leaders to deliver timely, high-quality employment relations advice across a diverse workforce.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a varied portfolio of ER case work, including performance, misconduct, workplace conflict and investigations
• Providing advice on enterprise agreements, industrial awards and employment legislation
• Supporting organisational change, restructures and complex employee matters
• Facilitating dispute resolution and contributing to mediation processes where required
• Developing practical HR resources, policies and guidance materials
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and people projects across the broader team

About You

We're looking for an experienced ER practitioner who brings both technical expertise and a pragmatic, people-first approach.

You'll ideally have:

• Demonstrated experience in employment relations, industrial relations or senior HR advisory roles
• Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act, industrial instruments and contemporary employment legislation
• Proven experience managing complex employee relations cases from end to end
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain technical issues in plain English
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related discipline
• Experience within education, government or other complex, highly regulated environments will be highly regarded
