The Role

We are seeking an outgoing highly motivated and organised individual to join our team as a Retail Customer Sales Attendant with exposure in a similar role/industry, and, with a passion for building, outdoor products and customers service to join our team. Existing Outdoor Timber or Outdoor Living product knowledge will be looked upon favourably.

You will be responsible in assisting in all aspects of the day to day running of the business, with a hands-on approach, whilst being focused on delivering positive customer outcomes, sometimes need to work in our yard and load customers.  Lifting and forklift work will form part of the role.

Responsibilities/Duties

·         General Warehouse/Showroom Duties.

·         Counting and checking goods received, including quality inspections.

·         Pick and Pack Customer Orders ready for pickup/delivery.

·         Loading and unloading of trucks.

·         Periodic stock takes.

·         Some heavy lifting is required.

·         General Timber/Building Product Knowledge.

·         Assisting customers with decking and screening enquiries.

·         Advocate an excellent customer service culture, fostering strong relationships and offering solutions.

·         Some local deliveries to customers from time to time.

·         Enthusiasm and take pride in housekeeping standards/site presentation.

·         Finding improvements in the operations.

·         Any other tasks as required to assist the business operation.

·         Maintaining emails, phone queries, quotes, follow ups etc.

·         Maintaining supplier relationships.

·         Cost analysis and updating systems accordingly.

Skills/Experience

·         Strong retail/trade sales experience (Timber/Building Products/floor lining)

·         Working in a Retail Sales and Warehousing environment.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Current drivers licence.

·         Current Forklift licence(looked upon favourably).

·         Well organised.

·         Self-motivated.

·         Reliable long term track record of previous employment.

Our Trading hours are Monday to Friday 7.30am - 5.00pm, Saturdays 7.30am - Midday, closed Public Holidays.

This is a full-time permanent role, Monday to Friday, occasional Saturday work may be required.
