Role Overview

The Principal of Mother Teresa Catholic College, on behalf of Catholic Education Western Australia Ltd., invites applications from suitably qualified and enthusiastic Secondary teachers interested in applying for the Full-Time , ongoing/fixed term position of Mathematics Teacher, commencing January 2027.

Selection Criteria

• Demonstrate excellent pedagogical skills with a flexible, collaborative and student-centred approach, promoting student wellbeing and pastoral care.
• Demonstrate excellent planning and implementation of a differentiated teaching/learning programme, including thinking skills and inquiry-based learning that engages all learners.
• Demonstrate the ability to use assessment and continuous monitoring methods and tools to adjust the teaching practices to cater for the needs of all students.
• Display excellent classroom management, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrate a high level of expertise in integrating digital technologies to enrich teaching and learning experiences.
• Possess the ability to be agile and adaptive in working across a K-12 College.
• Demonstrate the capability to work collaboratively with other staff to promote student learning and to enhance one's own teaching instruction and the learning culture of the College.
• Demonstrate an ability to lead by taking on roles within the College and being involved in extra-curricular activities.
• Demonstrate the skills to contribute to and promote a strong staff culture and work collaboratively with students, staff, parents and Parish to build community in a growing Catholic College.
• Must be prepared to teach mathematics across Years 7-12 as required by the College.

The successful candidate will be required to teach mathematics across Years 7-12 within the K-12 College structure.

Qualifications Required

• Relevant 4 Year Tertiary Qualifications

Applicants must submit a curriculum vitae, addressed to the Principal, including the names and contact numbers of three referees – including current employer and professional colleagues.

Applicants must have a current registration as a teacher with the Teacher Registration Board of WA (TRBWA) to be eligible for appointment. Information is available from the TRBWA website. Applicants must also have a Working with Children Check.

· Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School or willing to obtain
· Current TRBWA Registration
