About the role
Your Functional Therapy (McGrath & Noory Pty Ltd) is currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team as a part time/ full time or casual or contract employee. You will be part of a rapidly growing team consisting of multiple disciplines (Counsellors, Psychologists, Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners and Art therapists) that are passionate and dedicated to bettering the lives of others. Positions available:
We have multiple positions available depending and accommodate both experienced and new graduates Occupational Therapists.
Full time = $85,000 (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will:
-Conduct client assessments -physical, mental health, paediatric depending on your experience and interest. Predominantly NDIS caseload.
-Be involved in the treatment and management of complex conditions
-Be able to solve both clinical and non-clinical problems in day to day work
-Flexible and be able to work across various settings such as community or clinic
-Be prepared to complete professional development activities and apply to various clinical situations
-Confident with clinical reasoning skills across a variety of conditions
-Be involved in liaising with multiple stakeholders regarding patient care
-Liaise with other Allied Health team members regarding patients management
Key Requirements:
To be successful in the role of an Occupational Therapist, you will:
-Demonstrate a passion for continuing to learn and grow in both clinical and non-clinical perspective.
-Demonstrate willingness to progress your career from a clinical perspective if required
-Public or private hospital experience will be highly desired
-Strong written communication skills
-Be able to work independently
-Be able to provide clinical supervision to other staff if required
-Be confident in your role while being open to feedback
-Have current AHPRA registration
-Have a current driver's license and your own car
-Have current professional Indemnity Insurance, a -Working With Children Check and a National Criminal Record Check

We are hoping to hire a balance of experienced and new occupational therapist within our business to create a cohesive workplace environment.
Occupational Therapy: 1-5 years (Preferred) but we will hire new graduates and offer a new graduate program
Licence:
White Card (Preferred)
Australian driver's licence (Required)
Working With Children (WWC) Check (Preferred)
Job Duties:
Evaluating patients' physical, emotional and psychological capabilities via clinical observations and standardised testing
Evaluating patients' functional status in their home, work/school and leisure environments
Establishing treatment goals
Planning treatment
Coordinating treatment with other healthcare professionals
Providing instruction and education to patient, family, and caregivers
Evaluating need for interdisciplinary referral
Providing clients with assistive devices (e.g. wheelchairs, splints) where necessary
