Meerilinga is an iconic Western Australian not-for-profit organisation and registered charity that has championed positive childhoods and child advocacy since 1911. We operate multiple Early Learning Centres around Perth, provide specialised educator training through our Registered Training Organisation, and deliver parenting and community programs that strengthen children, families and communities.

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Educational Leader to inspire, lead, mentor and guide our Educators across our Children and Community Centres. Working closely with our teams, you will drive the delivery of quality Early Childhood Education and Care in line with the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards, and Education and Care National Law and Regulations.

This role is pivotal in leading with Meerilinga's values, philosophy, policies and procedures, and in supporting Educators to embed research-informed, strength-based approaches into their everyday practice. You will play a key role in mentoring teams, guiding critical reflection, and embedding culture into everyday practice and documentation.

As an Educational Leader with Meerilinga, you'll enjoy the opportunity to work across multiple service locations, building strong relationships with children, families, Educators and the wider community.

About You

•     Hold a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Teaching) or equivalent ACECQA-approved ECT qualification (highly desirable); or hold a CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or endorsed equivalent) with proven experience as an Educational Leader within the child and family services sector

•     A minimum of 2 years' experience within an approved education and care service, working with Educators and children aged 0–5 years

•     Demonstrated knowledge of the National Quality Framework, including the Education and Care Services National Law (2010), Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011), National Quality Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework

•     Proven ability to lead, mentor and guide Educators in critical reflection and reflective practice

•      Sound knowledge of current Early Childhood theories and perspectives into practice and documentation

•      Current driver's licence with reliable transport, and ability to work across multiple locations

•      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
