About the role
Youth Pathways Consultant - servicing Tamworth and surrounding locations

CAREERS NETWORK INC is an incorporated not-for-profit, organisation facilitating programs throughout the New England North West Region.
Our aim is to work collaboratively with stakeholder groups to strengthen partnerships between industry and education, to increase knowledge and opportunities for careers and further education for youth.
The Role
The role encompasses case management, working directly with youth aged 15-21 years of age, strengthening engagement within the community, and undertaking administration tasks as well as assisting with Industry engagement.
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and has proven experience working with young people, to provide one-on-one mentoring and pre-employment support.
Duty statements:
Sourcing and attending to referrals against KPI’s
Managing administrative tasks throughout the intake process
One-on-one case management
Development of career and transition plan
Assisting and supporting development of the young person’s individual goals
Brokering work experience, training, or employment opportunities
Provide access to complimentary services and post placement supports
Attend provider and network meetings to gain knowledge of program supports and promote and advocate for young people in which you work with.
Travel and connect face-to-face with young people and communities.
Do you have?
A positive can-do attitude and genuine interest in assisting young people
Strong time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
The ability to work autonomously and contribute to strategies for program success
The ability to be innovative and drive results to achieve outcomes in a challenging environment,
Exceptional administration and computer skills, with proven experience in Microsoft office applications
Advanced customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with young people, staff, and community.
An understanding of the barriers young people may face in successfully achieving education, training, or employment outcomes.
Terms and Conditions
This is a salaried position including car allowance allocation aligned to the Labour Market Assistance Industry Award 2020. Additional benefits include Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Christmas / New Year shut down.
Office location is based in Tamworth and involves regular travel. Ongoing employment will be subject to satisfactory performance, business demand and ongoing funding.
Essential Requirements
Minimum unrestricted Class C Drivers Licence, National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
Access to a comprehensively insured and well-maintained motor vehicle for work purposes.
