Medium Rigid & Heavy Rigid Driver

About the role

The Employee is employed as a Truck and Dog Driver. The purpose of the role is to safely and efficiently transport bulk landscape and quarry materials for the Employer's customers in the ACT and NSW in compliance with the National Heavy Vehicle Law, Chain of Responsibility obligations, company policies, and customer site requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate Medium Rigid- Heavy Rigid within legal mass limits

• Transport landscape and quarry materials to and from Paragalli Haulage yards, quarries, and customer sites in ACT and NSW

• Complete pre-start checks and defect reporting

• Ensure correct materials are loaded and tipped at correct locations

• Comply with traffic management plans, site rules, and NHVL/COR obligations

• Maintain high standards of truck cleanliness and assist with yard and amenities housekeeping

• Provide courteous and professional service to customers and other road users

• Operate Vehicle safely and lawfully

• Ensure materials are loaded, restrained, transported, and tipped correctly

• Maintain professional behaviour with customers, suppliers, and other road users

About you

• Must hold and maintain a Medium Rigid-Heavy Rigid Driver License

• Must hold a and Maintain a White Card

• Must always hold and maintain all licences, permits, qualifications, and competencies required to perform the role lawfully

• Must comply with all applicable work health and safety laws, heavy vehicle safety obligations, and company safety policies and procedures

• Must comply with all lawful requirements relating to fatigue management, mass, load restraint, vehicle operation, and Chain of Responsibility obligations

• Must immediately notify the Employer if any driver's licence is suspended, cancelled, varied, or subject to condition

• Must immediately notify the Employer if charged with or convicted of a driving or heavy vehicle offence that may affect ability to perform the role

• Must immediately notify the Employer if becoming medically unfit, or may be medically unfit, to safely perform the inherent requirements of the role

• Must be aware of and notify the Employer of any fatigue, drug, alcohol, medication, or health issue that may affect fitness for work
