We’re looking for a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join Ability Action Australia in North Tasmania, working part-time hours that make sense for you.

Maybe you’re looking for better balance. Maybe you want to keep doing work that matters without work taking over everything else. Or maybe three or four days a week simply suits your life beautifully.

What will you actually be doing?

You’ll work alongside people with disability, their families and support networks to create meaningful, practical change.

Your Days Might Include

Developing and delivering evidence-based Behaviour Support PlansCreating meaningful goals and practical strategies using a Positive Behaviour Support frameworkWorking towards the reduction and elimination of restrictive practicesBuilding the skills and confidence of families, carers, friends and other important people in a participant’s lifeAdvocating for the people you support and helping their voices be heardCollaborating with a genuinely multidisciplinary allied health team

In short: good clinical work, meaningful relationships and outcomes that actually matter.

You’ll Have

A little about you

A degree qualification in an allied health discipline such as Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology or Social WorkExperience developing, implementing and reviewing Behaviour Support PlansProficient, Advanced or Specialist status as an NDIS Behaviour Support PractitionerA genuine passion for working within the disability sector

And ideally, you’re someone who likes having autonomy while still knowing there’s a great team behind you.
