Location: Alice Springs

About the role:

Aurizon is looking for motivated and safety-conscious individuals to join our infrastructure maintenance team in Alice Springs as a Track Maintainer. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of rail infrastructure across the region.

No prior rail experience? No problem! Ongoing training and development will be provided, but experience in rail, construction, or manual labour environments would be highly regarded.

What we’re looking for:

• Current C Class Driver’s Licence (no restrictions) – essential.
• Hold a current White Card/Construction card (mandatory).
• Safety-conscious with a strong commitment to following workplace procedures.
• Hardworking, motivated, and reliable.
• A team player who can also work independently when required.
• Willing to undertake necessary training for the role.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Comfortable performing manual labour and working in outdoor environments.
• Ability to pass a Category 1 Rail Medical and Driver History Check (mandatory).
• These roles are not FIFO/DIDO positions. Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to Alice Springs.

Desirable but not essential:

• Certificate II or III in Rail Infrastructure.
• Machine operation tickets, loader, skid steer, excavator.
• Experience Aluminothermic welding / offsiding
• Experience in Safe Working and Track Protection.
• HR or HC Truck Licence (no restrictions).
