SDN Newtown - Senior Educator - Full Time

SDN Newtown is seeking a permanent full-time Senior Educator to support our toddler room for children aged 2–3 years. This role is ideal for a Diploma qualified educator who is passionate about high-quality early childhood education, inclusive practice, child safety and building strong relationships with children, families and colleagues

About The Role

This will include:

• Build strong, respectful partnerships with children, families, and stakeholders, promoting engagement and participation
• Support educators with documentation, observations and reflective practice to promote positive learning outcomes
• Create safe, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate environments that support all areas of child development
• Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and child safety standards, maintaining a strong child-safe culture
• Support daily operations, routines, and wellbeing practices, including guiding children’s care and development needs
• Model professionalism, positive behaviours, and strong working relationships across the service
• Support educators while fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment
• Support the delivery, planning, and evaluation of high-quality early learning programs aligned with the EYLF and National Quality Standards

About You

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
• Experience in a similar role supporting children's learning, wellbeing and development within our 2-3 years toddler room
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards
• Working with Children Check (NSW)
• Sound understanding of the development of children, their health, hygiene and nutritional needs
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of Child Protection legislation and holds an approved and current Child Protection Training qualification
