About the role:
Please note: While this opportunity has been advertised as a Residential Youth Worker, the official position title is Therapeutic Residential Support Worker.
Based in one of our Child and Youth Services (CAYS), working as a permanent Therapeutic Residential Support Worker, you will support children with disability living in out-of-home care. You will provide consistent, nurturing and child-centred care within a therapeutic residential setting, helping children feel safe, supported and empowered in their daily lives.
Duties will include:
Line 1 – East Geelong Active Nights (34.25 hours)
Week 1:
Line 2 – Corio A (35.25 hours)
Week 1: Fri 2:30pm-9pm, Mon: 9am-3pm
Week 2: Fri 3pm-10pm & S/O, Sat: 6am-9am, Sun: 10am-2pm, Tues: 4pm-8pm, Wed: 7am-9:30am
Line 3 – Corio B (35.25 hours)
Week 1: Sun: 4pm-8pm, Mon: 4pm-8pm, Wed: 2:30pm-9pm
Week 2: Fri: 2:30pm-9pm, Sat: 5pm-10pm & S/O, Sun: 6am-9am
Line 4 – Belmont (43.25 hours)
Week 1: Sun: 9am-5pm, Tues: 2:30pm-9pm, Wed: 2:30pm-9pm
Week 2: Thurs: 3pm-10pm & S/O, Fri: 6am-9am, Tues: 3pm-10pm & S/O, Wed: 6am-9am
Line 5 – Belmont (50.75 hours)
Week 1: Sat: 9am-5pm, Mon: 3pm-10pm & S/O, Tues: 6am-9am, Wed: 3pm-10pm & S/O
Week 2: Thurs: 6am-9am, Sat: 3pm-9pm, Mon: 7am-3pm, Tues: 2:30pm-9pm
Each roster above includes a fortnightly 2.25-hour team meeting.
