The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team and play a key role in the next stage of the business.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects, building strong client relationships and driving jobs from award through to successful completion.

You will have the support of an experienced team across estimating, drafting, production and installation, while having the autonomy to manage your projects and make things happen.

About the Role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple joinery projects from initial handover through to final completion.

You will coordinate closely with clients, builders, architects, drafting, production and installation teams to ensure projects remain on programme, within scope and commercially on track.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.

You will be expected to identify issues early, communicate clearly, manage programme pressures and keep projects moving forward.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Coordination

• Review all project documentation, architectural plans, joinery drawings, specifications, and scopes of work

• Prepare accurate project programs and schedules, including manufacturing, delivery, and installation timelines

• Ensure programs are maintained, monitored daily, and any changes communicated immediately to clients and internal teams

• Coordinate internal teams, including drafting, production, procurement, and installation

• Assign installation resources and ensure site readiness prior to work commencing

Client & Stakeholder Communication

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, builders, architects, and subcontractors

• Ensure all written communication is professional, grammatically correct, and clear

• Issue regular project updates and ensure all actions are documented

• Escalate issues early with recommended solutions, not just problems

Site Programs & Scheduling

• Prepare detailed, accurate, and realistic site programs for all projects

• Monitor programs daily and hold the team accountable to agreed dates

• Notify clients immediately of any risks to program dates and issue revised schedules as required

• Track variations, supply delays, and site conditions that may impact timelines

Materials, Procurement & Logistics

• Maintain full oversight of material requirements and lead times

• Work closely with Accounts for standard procurement

• Directly order materials when deadlines are tight or urgent action is required

• Track supplier deliveries and coordinate site logistics to align with project milestones

Site Management & Quality

• Conduct site visits as required to verify measurements, quality, and progress

• Supervise installers and subcontractors to ensure work complies with drawings and company standards

• Identify risks or quality issues early and implement corrective action

• Ensure compliance with safety and WHS standards

Documentation & Administration

• Maintain accurate project records, including RFIs, variations, approvals, and site notes

• Review drawings, issue updated job packs, and ensure documentation is distributed appropriately

• Use company software daily to track jobs, schedules, and project progress

• Maintain consistency and accuracy in all project documentation

Software Requirements

• Strong proficiency in company software used for job tracking, scheduling, and communication

• Ability to adapt to new software platforms as the company grows

• High accuracy and attention to detail when working within digital systems

Daily Tasks

• Monitor all active projects and update company software with status, notes, and deadlines

• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, installers, suppliers, and internal teams

• Follow up on material orders and place urgent orders when required

• Coordinate production and installation schedules to avoid delays

• Conduct site visits as necessary and resolve issues promptly

• Update and distribute revised programs

• Identify and resolve issues early to protect timelines

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of joinery, cabinetry, shopfitting, or construction

• Ability to read and interpret architectural and joinery drawings

• Proficiency with company software and ability to learn new systems

• Excellent written communication and professionalism

• Strong organisation, time management, and multitasking skills

• Proven problem-solving and decision-making ability

Qualifications & Experience

• 3–5+ years in project management within joinery, cabinetry, or construction

• Trade background (cabinetmaking/carpentry) highly preferred

• Experience managing schedules, materials, and client communication

• Current driver’s licence
