About the role:
As a Business Analyst at Shift, you'll work closely with teams from product, operations, and technology to create and implement scalable solutions that help us achieve our strategic goals. You'll play a key role in defining business requirements, streamlining and documenting processes, and building adaptable frameworks for our fast-paced environment. What you’ll do:
Lead discovery sessions with stakeholders to capture business needs and objectives, translating them into clear specificationsAssess risks, impacts, and dependencies across functions, taking proactive action as neededDevelop and propose scalable solutions that align with company and enterprise strategiesAnalyse and document current and future state processes; identify gaps and recommend operational improvementsDesign and validate customer journeys, processes, and data flows with a focus on business outcomesPartner with technical and operational teams on change management and implementation plansDocument system interfaces, data integrations, and ensure requirements traceabilityContribute to business cases, including impact assessments and cost/benefit analysesSupport project delivery by helping manage timelines, scope, and governanceCreate and maintain clear project artefacts and documentationLead workshops and facilitate cross-functional stakeholder alignmentMentor junior analysts and help drive a culture of continuous improvementDefine and execute test plans, oversee UAT, and help ensure requirements are met pre-deploymentEnsure solutions comply with relevant financial services regulations and support audit and compliance activities
What you’ll bring:
Experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Analyst, ideally in operational or financial services environmentsProven record of driving analysis for complex projects in fast-paced settingsAbility to work across teams and functionsStrong analytical and conceptual thinking—translating business needs into solutionsExcellent stakeholder engagement, influencing, and communication skillsAdvanced process documentation and problem-solving skillsSelf-starter with independence and the ability to juggle competing prioritiesExperience leading workshops and facilitating group alignmentSkills in project management, relationship building, and active listeningDemonstrated ability to influence outcomes without direct authority
