The Opportunity 

We are seeking an Accountant who has a strong financial background to manage the finance operations across two exciting brands, Sydney Design School and its online partner, Interior Design Online. 

This flexible role will be on campus at our studios in North Sydney 3 days per week. As a registered training provider accurate, timely data reporting is essential to the company's success. 

The key areas of this role are to: 

• Attend to the day-to-day processing of the financial information for both brands including the accounts receivable and accounts payable requirements 

• Manage the payroll function for both staff and educators including superannuation and payroll tax reporting 

• Business Activity Statement preparation  

• Preparation of the monthly financial management reports including Balance Sheet reconciliations  

• Monthly lodgements for VET Student Loan reporting

To be considered for this role you will need to address the following selection criteria: 

Essential Criteria 

• Accounting qualification  

• Strong background and work experience in finance functions 

• Experience in payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger reconciliations 

• Experience in balance sheet and profit & loss statement reporting 

• Experience with computerised accounting packages preferably Xero 

• Experience with Business Activity Statement preparation (BAS) 

• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in the Microsoft suite of programs  

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written  

• A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards 
   

Desirable Criteria 

• VET Student Loan administration and reporting 

• Experience and knowledge of the TCSI platform 

• Smart and Skilled administration and reporting 

• Budget preparation and forecast reporting 

• Payroll Tax lodgements
