2026 Festival Volunteers

Melbourne Fringe runs on the energy, enthusiasm and goodwill of our incredible volunteers. We're inviting passionate people to join the team across a range of roles, whether you're a natural host, a helpful all-rounder, an accessibility advocate, or just someone who loves getting amongst it.

You'll typically contribute 15–25 hours across the Festival (29 September – 18 October 2026), with bump-in shifts available from 21 September. Most roles are based at our Festival Hubs at Trades Hall and Meat Market, with some shifts at Curated Program venues across Melbourne.

In return, you'll get an inside look at one of Australia's most beloved independent arts festivals, free training, a community of like-minded people, plus tickets and a volunteer pass to see shows.

Please note you must be over 18 years old to volunteer.
