About the role
Hello you! Yes, you—the passionate Psychologist who’s ready to make a real impact in the lives of kids, young people and caregivers. If you’re looking for more than just a job and want to be part of a team that genuinely cares, collaborates, and celebrates the wins (big and small), you’re in the right place.
Who We Are
We’re Youthrive, a social enterprise with a big heart. Every dollar we make goes straight to Act for Kids, to help children heal from trauma and lead safer, happier lives. We’re all about empowerment, evidence-based therapy, and creating a space where clinicians feel supported and valued.
We know there are plenty of options out there—but here’s what makes us different: we’re not just a workplace, we’re a community. We’re professional, ethical, caring, and collaborative—and we live those values every day.
What You’ll Love About Us
Competitive Salary: $108,512 - $118,431 based on experience.
Flexibility: Compressed work weeks (9 day fortnight), hybrid options, and part-time available (min. 3 days).
Wellbeing Days: 4 extra days off each year—just like annual leave, but designed for you to recharge whenever you need.
Above-Award Leave: Paid parental, professional development, wellbeing, and even pet leave.
Fitness Passport: Discounted health and fitness membership for you and your family.
Professional Development: $2000 annual PD budget + 2 paid PD leave days to grow your skills and explore your interests.
Your Mentor
From day one, you’ll be paired with a dedicated mentor who’ll be with you on your Youthrive journey. They’ll provide monthly clinical supervision to help you build confidence, sharpen your skills, and feel supported in your practice. It’s not just about ticking boxes—it’s about making sure you feel clinically backed and genuinely connected.
What You’ll Be Doing
Delivering individualised therapy that makes a real difference in behaviour, wellbeing, and development.
Conducting assessments (academic, cognitive, autism) and writing meaningful reports.
Collaborating with families to set goals and adapt interventions that truly fit.
Working alongside a multidisciplinary team that shares knowledge and celebrates growth.
What You’ll Bring
A tertiary qualification in Psychology.
Full registration with AHPRA (Clinical endorsement).
2+ years’ experience working with children and young people with complex needs (is desirable).
A toolkit of evidence-based interventions and a passion for making therapy engaging.
A collaborative spirit and the ability to work independently when needed.
Our Team Culture
We’re big on connection. Expect team days, wellness initiatives, birthday shoutouts, and plenty of laughs. We believe work should be meaningful and enjoyable—and we work hard to make that happen.
