Quality and Safeguards Coordinator - Fair Foundations

The Impact of the Role

This is an opportunity to influence organisational quality well beyond compliance.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening Fair Foundations' quality, safeguarding and risk capability across the organisation. Working closely with leaders across children's services, disability and community programs, you will provide expert guidance that enables teams to confidently navigate changing regulatory requirements while continuously improving service delivery.

Building on strong foundations already established, you'll drive key organisational priorities including the upcoming NDIS registration renewal, ongoing policy and governance improvements, internal quality audits and Board Risk Committee reporting. You'll also play a critical role in developing a proactive quality culture where compliance is embedded into everyday practice rather than viewed as a periodic activity.

This is a highly visible and collaborative position that combines strategic governance with hands-on operational support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, influencing practice and creating lasting organisational improvement.
  
Key responsibilities include:

• Lead quality assurance, safeguarding, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
• Support the successful delivery of the upcoming NDIS registration renewal and ongoing accreditation requirements.
• Develop, review and continuously improve organisational policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
• Conduct internal audits, compliance reviews and site visits across services to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Partner with operational leaders to provide practical advice, coaching and support on quality, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
• Deliver engaging training and education that builds organisational capability and promotes best practice.
• Coordinate incident management, complaints, risk reporting and quality improvement activities.
• Prepare high-quality reports, dashboards and Board Risk Committee documentation that supports strategic decision making.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of risk management and business continuity frameworks.
• Foster a culture where quality, safeguarding and continuous improvement are shared organisational responsibilities.

About You

You're a collaborative and approachable quality professional who enjoys helping teams deliver safe, high-quality services. You build strong relationships, communicate confidently with a range of stakeholders and take a practical approach to improving quality, safeguarding and compliance across an organisation.

You will bring:

• Demonstrated experience in quality assurance, safeguarding, risk or compliance within the community, health, disability or human services sectors.
• Strong understanding of child safeguarding, governance and regulatory compliance, ideally across children's services, disability or community services.
• Experience supporting accreditation, audit or regulatory frameworks such as NDIS, ACECQA or Child Safe Standards.
• Proven experience developing policies, undertaking internal audits and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence, coach and educate stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience preparing governance reporting and presenting information to leadership teams or Board committees will be highly regarded.
• A collaborative, solutions-focused approach with genuine initiative and the ability to work autonomously.
