Program Support Officer, Ageing, Disability and Palliative Care

About the Role

We’re seeking a highly organised and proactive Program Support Officer, Ageing, Disability and Palliative Care to provide administrative, project and coordination support across a range of programs within our Workforce and Service Capacity Commissioning team.

Working closely with the Executive Head, Workforce and Service Capacity Commissioning and program leads, you will support initiatives focused on aged care, disability services, palliative care and integrated care programs. Your work will help ensure programs are delivered efficiently, stakeholder engagement activities run smoothly, reporting and compliance requirements are met, and communities receive the support they need.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Provide administrative and operational support across ageing, disability, palliative care and integrated care programs.
• Coordinate meetings, workshops, forums and stakeholder engagement activities, including logistics, agendas, minutes and follow-up actions.
• Maintain project documentation, stakeholder databases, records, registers and reporting systems.
• Support data collection, reporting, compliance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with contract and financial administration, including invoice processing and expenditure tracking.
• Coordinate and maintain CRM and records management systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Support commissioned programs and community initiatives through project administration and stakeholder coordination.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, service providers and community stakeholders.
• Contribute to workforce development, communities of practice and quality improvement activities.
• Assist with communications, project reporting and operational activities that support program objectives and funding requirements.

About You

You will thrive in this role if you are highly organised, enjoy supporting projects and stakeholders, and have the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

You will bring:

• Experience in administration, project coordination, program support or a similar role.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience preparing reports, meeting minutes, correspondence and business documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate recordkeeping.
• Well-developed stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office, SharePoint and other business systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
• Experience in the health, aged care, disability or community services sector will be highly regarded.
• An understanding of the needs of rural and remote communities will be advantageous.

This role is ideally located within the Western Queensland region, for example, Roma, Longreach, Mount Isa or surrounds, but applications will be accepted from candidates throughout Queensland.
