Area Supervisor - Scaffolding | Tamworth Region NSW

We're looking for an Area Supervisor who can balance pace with precision. A leader who develops Leading Hands, builds client confidence, and runs multiple sites without letting safety or delivery slip.

About the Role

You'll run scaffold operations across multiple sites in the New England region, reporting to the Operations Manager and overseeing our Leading Hands and Yard Coordinator. As the link between clients and site teams, you'll juggle competing priorities, make quick calls, and keep every job moving safely and on time.

This role suits someone who leads from the front, is forward-thinking, and calm when things get busy.

What You’ll Lead & Deliver

• Schedule labour and transport across multiple sites so every job is resourced and delivered on time.
• Be the first call for clients. Confirm requirements, manage expectations, and fix issues on the spot.
• Inspect sites and complete Scopes of Work and variation scopes, so jobs are quoted, drafted and built right the first time.
• Develop your Leading Hands through mentoring your team to ensure leadership capability grows and qualified successors are developed for key roles.
• Enforce safety and compliance across every scaffold, every site.
• Drive productivity through smart sequencing, tight logistics, and leading from the front.
• Solve problems on the ground before they slow the job down. Diagnose, decide, act.

What You Bring

Non-negotiables:

• Valid Driver's Licence
• White Card (Construction Induction)
• Proven experience managing multiple sites and teams simultaneously
• Track record of developing frontline leaders

• Advanced Scaffolding Licence (High Risk Work) – your ticket is current, and you have experience on commercial projects
• Strong client and people management skills - you've handled difficult conversations and come out the other side without compromising the relationship
• Commercial awareness - you understand how productivity and margin connect
• Calm under pressure, decisive, and accountable for your team's performance
• Clear, confident communicator who stays structured when the pace picks up.
