About the opportunity
NSW Health Pathology's Randwick Transfusion Laboratory, located at Prince of Wales Hospital, is seeking an experienced transfusion Medical Laboratory Technician for a part-time role and who is willing to participate in a flexible 24/7 roster.
As part of the Southeast Sydney Local Health District, the Randwick Transfusion Laboratory provides vital transfusion services to Prince of Wales Public and Private Hospitals, Sydney Children's Hospital, and the Royal Women's Hospital. The lab supports a diverse range of complex patients, including those in adult intensive care with ECMO, neonatal intensive care, high-risk obstetrics, renal transplantation, haematology, cardiology, and more, serving both local and interstate communities.
By joining our team, you will work alongside dedicated professionals delivering a full range of blood products and comprehensive transfusion testing services to the entire Randwick campus. This is a rewarding and dynamic role, ideal for an energetic and professional team player ready to make a difference.
What you'll be doing
Responsible for delivering a range of operational laboratory activities including the coordination and provisions of scientific and technical training and the ongoing review, development and quality management of laboratory practices to ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures, quality standards and continual process improvement.
