The Team & Role
The Registered Undergraduate Student of Midwifery (RUSOM) role provides support to the Maternity team in the delivery of safe, personal, effective and connected care.

The RUSOM is required to work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Midwife at all times, within their level of education and assessed competencies and under clearly defined role parameters.

Skills & Experience Required

• Successful completion of at least second year undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Midwifery or completed your first year of Bachelor of Midwifery qualification at university
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including relationship building, cooperation and conflict resolution
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with a wide range of people, including co-workers, health professionals, residents and family members
