About the Opportunity

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager to drive the company's sourcing strategy and build a resilient, high-performing supply chain.

Reporting to the executive team, you will lead the end-to-end procurement function across raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and indirect spend. You'll develop strategic supplier partnerships, negotiate commercial agreements, manage procurement risk, and lead a team of purchasing professionals to deliver outstanding operational and financial outcomes.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Strategic Procurement

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business growth and production requirements.

• Identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, and supplier performance.

• Monitor market trends and proactively manage supply risks.

Supplier Management & Negotiation

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.

• Lead commercial negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favourable contract terms.

• Drive supplier performance through regular reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Cost & Commercial Performance

• Manage procurement budgets, forecasting, and spend analysis.

• Deliver sustainable cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service.

• Partner with Finance to improve commercial decision-making.

Supply Chain, Risk & Compliance

• Ensure procurement activities comply with food safety, quality, and ethical sourcing standards.

• Develop mitigation strategies for supply disruptions, shortages, and quality risks.

• Support inventory optimisation and production continuity through close collaboration with Operations and Logistics.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Partner with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Sales to support product innovation and business objectives.

• Use ERP data and procurement analytics to provide meaningful insights and performance reporting.

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of purchasing officers, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

About You

You are a commercially astute procurement leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You combine strategic thinking with hands-on leadership and have a proven ability to build strong supplier relationships while delivering measurable business results.

You'll Bring

• Significant experience in procurement or supply chain leadership within food manufacturing or FMCG.

• Proven success in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management.

• Strong commercial acumen with experience delivering cost reduction and value creation initiatives.

• Experience managing international supply chains and supplier development.

• Proficiency with ERP systems and data-driven procurement reporting.

• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and project management skills.

• A tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline.
