Machinist 1st Class

Hydroil Pty Ltd is an Australian manufacturer of the highest quality hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders since 1964. The nature of the business is design, manufacture and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders supporting multiple industries such as mining, construction, transport, energy, automation and customised technology for industrial markets within Australia and globally.

We are seeking an energetic and team orientated Manual Centre Lathe Machinist based at our Woodville North plant. This is a full time permanent position and available for an immediate start.

You will be working on a Manual Centre Lathe and we will provide on-site training so that we continue to provide excellence, quality and consistency. You will report directly to the leading hand.

As the successful applicant you will be required to be part of a team in the Machine Shop. You will have a strong drive to succeed, be able self-motivated, work others, and be able to promote a safety conscious environment.

Key requirements:

• Machinist Trade Qualification .

• Experience with manual center lathe.

• Experience in screw cutting internal and external threads.

• Work to fine tolerances with speed, accuracy and attention to detail.

• Follow instructions and read complex detail drawings.

• Reliable, self motivated and can work with minimum supervision.

• Good OH&S awareness

• Good communication skills

• Work a 38hr, 4 day working week, 6.45am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday.

• Be available from time to time to work overtime on Friday and Saturday.
