Marketing, Content & Social Media Assistant

About the role

This is a hands-on role supporting Opus Media Group and a diverse portfolio of client accounts across a range of industries. You'll help create engaging content, manage social media platforms, design marketing assets and support our creative and digital marketing initiatives. Working closely with the founders, you'll gain practical agency experience, develop new skills and contribute to real client projects while building a strong foundation for your marketing career.

Key responsibilities

• Develop social media content ideas and content calendars
• Write engaging captions tailored to different platforms
• Schedule and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok
• Monitor engagement and assist with community management
• Assist with monthly reporting and performance reviews
• Design social media graphics, carousels, stories and marketing assets using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (or similar)
• Repurpose long-form videos into engaging short-form content
• Create presentations, proposals and other marketing collateral
• Assist on client content shoots, capturing photography and video content
• Assist with campaign preparation across paid and organic marketing

About you

• A genuine interest in marketing, content creation and social media
• A strong eye for design and visual storytelling
• Confidence using Canva (Adobe Creative Suite experience is a bonus)
• An understanding of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok
• Basic video editing skills using CapCut or similar software
• Excellent written communication skills
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
