Completions Lead

About the role

Information Quality is seeking an experienced Completions Lead to support the delivery of a major oil & gas project. The Completions Lead will be responsible for establishing and managing the project's completions framework, ensuring that systems, subsystems, tags, inspection and test requirements and handover documentation are clearly defined and structured to support the successful transition from construction through to commissioning and operations. This is a senior technical role requiring strong experience in oil & gas completions, with the ability to develop practical completions processes, work across multiple engineering disciplines and collaborate closely with engineering, construction, commissioning and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the project's completions management framework.

• Establish clear completions processes, requirements and stage gates to support the controlled transition from construction to commissioning.

• Develop the completions strategy in alignment with project requirements, engineering deliverables and construction activities.

• Establish clear interfaces between engineering, construction, completions, commissioning and operations.

• Identify completions requirements, dependencies, interfaces and potential constraints early in the project lifecycle.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance on completions requirements across the project.

• Lead the development of Inspection and Test Records (ITRs) covering construction verification and function testing activities.

• Develop supporting Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) defining the methodology for completing ITRs.

• Develop the project's Commissioning Class structure as it relates to completions requirements.

• Lead the initiation and implementation of the project's Computerised Completions Management System (CCMS).

About you

• Significant oil & gas project experience.

• Strong experience in completions management and preparation.

• Demonstrated experience developing ITRs and Standard Work Instructions.

• Experience with systemisation and subsystem definition.

• Experience developing commissioning classes and ITR matrices.

• Strong experience with tag management and allocation.

• Experience implementing or managing a Computerised Completions Management System (CCMS) or equivalent.

• Experience developing and managing completions schedules.

• Strong understanding of construction verification, function testing and the requirements for handover into commissioning.

• Ability to interpret engineering documentation including P&IDs, piping and mechanical drawings, instrumentation diagrams and electrical drawings.
