About the role
The Mater Mothers Cardiac and Surgical Neonatal Critical Care Unit is seeking dynamic, highly skilled intensive care nurses to join the team as a Clinical Nurse.
This is a part-time, 6-month maximum term contract with the possibility of extension.

The Neonatal Critical Care Unit is a 79 bed perinatal tertiary referral centre which provides care for approximately 2000 babies per year. Within this unit is a cohort of highly specialised and complex babies requiring intensive care in collaboration with multiple subspecialty teams from the state-wide children’s hospital. You will be part of large multidisciplinary teams caring for babies with cardiac, surgical, neurosurgical, renal and other complex conditions and supporting families as part of our team.
As a state-wide perinatal centre for the delivery of all antenatally diagnosed complex cardiac conditions since 2009, and with the opening of the Statewide children’s hospital in 2014, the Neonatal Critical Care Unit at Mater Mothers’ Hospital has become the quaternary surgical neonatal intensive care unit for Southeast and Central Queensland. With this comes the unique opportunity within our neonatal intensive care to provide comprehensive family centred care to a cohort of babies, including those born prematurely, with cardiac, surgical, neurosurgical, renal and other complex conditions as part of our large multidisciplinary team.
Salary range: $57.48 - $61.55 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
