AI and AUTOMATION OFFICER

We are a growing Australian fashion retailer is seeking a hands-on AI and Automation Officer to lead the implementation of AI and automation across our business.

This is not a traditional IT role. We are looking for someone who can understand how our business operates, identify inefficiencies and build practical AI solutions that save time, reduce costs and improve decision-making.

The Role

Working directly with senior management, you will:

• Identify opportunities to automate manual and repetitive processes.

• Build and implement AI-powered workflows and automations.

• Improve management reporting and dashboards.

• Develop AI solutions across retail, eCommerce, inventory, product, marketing, finance and warehouse operations.

• Integrate AI with existing business platforms and systems.

• Develop sales, stock and operational reporting tools.

• Train teams to effectively use approved AI tools.

• Maintain and improve implemented automations.

• Establish appropriate AI governance, documentation and data-security practices.

• Develop a longer-term AI and automation roadmap for the business.

What We’re Looking For

You will ideally have:

• Strong practical knowledge of AI and LLM platforms.

• Experience building business automations and workflows.

• Experience with APIs and system integrations.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• The ability to turn business problems into practical technology solutions.

• A commercial mindset, you understand that technology must deliver measurable results.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with non-technical teams.

Experience within retail, fashion, eCommerce or inventory-based businesses will be highly regarded.
