About the role
HR Truck Driver | Smithfield
Monday to Friday | 6:00am – 2:00pm
Hi-Tec Oils, a proudly Australian-owned manufacturer and distributor of automotive, industrial, and commercial lubricants, is seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team based out of our Altona facility. You'll be responsible for delivering our diverse product range safely and efficiently across the region.
About the Role
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of Hi-Tec Oils products throughout Sydney Metro and surrounding areas. As the face of the company on the road, you'll provide exceptional customer service while ensuring deliveries are completed safely, accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Operate an HR vehicle to complete scheduled multidrop deliveries throughout Sydney Metro and surrounding regions.
Load and unload products safely using pallet jacks and manual handling techniques where required.
Conduct pre-start vehicle inspections and ensure the vehicle is maintained in a clean and roadworthy condition.
Deliver products accurately and on time while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Perform on-site pumping of oils into customer storage tanks safely and efficiently.
Secure loads in accordance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
Complete delivery documentation, proof of delivery and required paperwork accurately.
Maintain compliance with road transport legislation, company policies and safety procedures.
Report vehicle defects, incidents or hazards promptly.
Work collaboratively with the warehouse and customer service teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Current HR Truck Licence (essential).
3+ years' experience completing multidrop deliveries.
Current Forklift Licence (preferred but not essential).
Experience with pallet-on/pallet-off deliveries.
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Sound knowledge of Sydney Metro and surrounding areas.
A reliable work ethic with strong time management skills.
The ability to work independently and manage daily delivery schedules.
Physical fitness to undertake manual handling tasks.
A clean driving record and a recent WorkCover history statement.
Previous experience delivering lubricants, industrial products or dangerous goods will be highly regarded (training can be provided where required).
