About Us: Gold Educational Tours brings Japanese student groups to Perth for school-based exchange and homestay programs, in partnership with 70+ WA schools. We're looking for a Japanese Coordinator to support our groups on the ground and help make each exchange run smoothly and safely.
What You'll Be DoingSupervise Japanese student exchange programs from arrival in Perth to departureSupport students, teachers/chaperones, and host school staff with daily activitiesKeep the program on schedule and adapt when plans changeEncourage students to speak English and engage with their host family and local classmatesBe a positive, trustworthy adult students can rely onBuild strong working relationships with the host school, visiting teachers, and program partnersFlag issues with the office earlyTake photos and videos along the way for our marketing
Minimum RequirementsNative-level Japanese, with strong conversational EnglishCurrent Working with Children Check (WWCC)Current First Aid Certificate, including CPRFull, ongoing working rights in Australia (not suited to Working Holiday visas)
Position Types We're hiring for two types of coordinator roles:
1. On-Tour Coordinator: Accompany the group throughout their stay as a representative of Gold Educational ToursHours are approximately 8:00 am–4:00 pm, depending on the day's itineraryRequires a valid driver's licence and includes driving to various locations as needed
2. Airport & Transfer Support: Meet arriving groups at the airport and see them through to hotel check-in; support departing groups at the airport as neededHours follow flight schedules (late-night and midnight arrivals/departures are common)No driving required
