The Company

Exodas is a well-established and growing transport and logistics company carrying general and refrigerated freight operating along the East Coast of Australia with depots/yards in Mareeba, Innisfail, Tully, Townsville, Bowen, Mackay, Brisbane, Warnervale, Sydney and Melbourne, and head office in Yatala.

The role:

Based at our Innisfail depot you will direct the loading and unloading of local PUD trucks and linehaul units, along with managing the cold storage of fresh produce.

You will work in conjunction with one other supervisor and the depot manager on a roster to ensure full 7 days a week coverage of our depot operations (the roster to be agreed between the three people involved).

About you:

• Strong time management and communication skills are imperative as ensuring loading and unloading deadlines are met is a critical aspect of this role

• Team leadership is a key requirement

• Experience with fresh produce and refrigerated freight is preferred

• Current Forklift Licence (LF) is REQUIRED

• Good understanding of food handling best practice and legislation

• Knowledge of appropriate load restraint equipment and techniques

• Ability to work unsupervised

• Sound literacy, numeracy, and computer skills including the use of Excel

• HC (or MC) licence would be an advantage

This role includes assisting your team, helping each other load and secure freight from time to time.
