About the role
About the role
The NSW Reconstruction Authority is seeking an experienced Senior Program Officer to join the Program Strategy and Engagement Team. This role is responsible for coordinating the design, development and delivery of strategic programs and initiatives that support the Authority's objectives and contribute to improved disaster management outcomes across the state.
Working across a complex stakeholder environment, you will lead program development activities, undertake research and analysis, provide expert advice, and collaborate with government, industry and community partners to deliver evidence-based solutions. This role will also contribute to the delivery of the Disaster Event Assistance Measures (DEAM) program and broader disaster funding reform initiatives that will shape future disaster assistance frameworks across NSW.

About the Agency
The NSW Reconstruction Authority (the RA) is an executive agency of the Premier’s Department. The RA will improve how NSW plans for disasters and help communities to recover from them faster.
To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the RA will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses, and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities, and other stakeholders.
